International women’s day celebrated by many in Eritrea. According to the National Union of Eritrean Women, NUEW, women’s rights are recognized by the government, although they need to be implemented. Since the men and women in Eritrea took part in the liberation war against Ethiopia on equal ground, the women have obtained a strong position in the society. But strong position doesn’t mean equality – so the struggle continues…

El día internacional de mujeres celebró por muchas en Eritrea. Según la Unión Nacional de las Mujeres de Eritrean, NUEW, las derechas de mujeres son reconocidos por el gobierno, aunque necesitan ser puestos en ejecución. Desde que los hombres y las mujeres en Eritrea participaron en la guerra de la liberación contra Etiopía en la tierra igual, las mujeres han obtenido una posición fuerte en la sociedad. Pero posición fuerte no significa igual. Por eso la lucha continúa… ¡Vamonos! ;-)
